Yahoo Mail comes in a free and a paid for service called Yahoo Mail Plus, and has been around since 1997.

When I move from Yahoo Mail which email client should I use?

If you want to move from Yahoo Mail to another type of email client you have a wide choice. We have provided step by step guides for the most popular choices.

Windows Live Mail is Microsofts free desktop mail client, and is very popular.

Outlook 2010 comes with Microsoft Office. Many people love Outlook and it is most likely the widest used email client for business use.

Thunderbird 3 is a great email client. It's free to download as it's open source, and has an active community and support. It also facilitates management of multiple email addresses. (And if you do want to synchronize your email on multiple computers further down the track it is the email client we recommend as it is the easiest to setup).

If you're switching to a Linux based operating system you can look at Thunderbird 3 or Evolution Mail.

And of course if you're moving from a PC to a Mac your options are Apple Mail, Entourage, or Thunderbird for Mac.
